Hampton Inn Gettysburg

The location to Gettysburg Park and downtown Gettysburg is good.

I requested a roll-away bed and received a confirmation from Bookings that my request was submitted and approved, however, arriving at the hotel they said they never received the request and did not have a roll-away bed available. I was also informed that that this was not the hotels fault – it was Bookings. The hotel beds are good; however, the sheets do not fit the mattress so the bottom sheets on both queen beds in my room came undone during the night even after several attempts to fix the sheet. By morning, we were sleeping on raw mattress. This was not a sanitary sleeping situation. The AC in the room was poor – the temperature never stayed steady, the AC constantly cycled all night. The free breakfast was poorly managed, not enough equipment (such usable toaster) and staff to run the breakfast. Additionally there was not enough food available and what was available was poorly prepared such as the prepackaged frozen omelets that were just slightly warmed and the toaster didn’t work properly, it would not create toast. Our initial stay was for two nights – we cancelled the second night.

The hotel was clean and offered a nice breakfast and coffee, apples and cookies throughout the day.

Staff was excellent, breakfast was very enjoyable with good selection. I made good use of pool & hot tub but the wife thought the pool was a little too cold.

We were in the last non smoking room in the wing that also had the smoking rooms so we had to walk through stale smoke smell to get to the nearest exit. I am a smoker but don't care to smell stale smoke and the wife is non smoker and finds it very offensive. I appreciate the hotel trying to accommodate everyone but it's time to follow other hotels lead and and move the smoking outside. ( Would it be too hard to have a small shelter AWAY from entrances for a little protection from rain? ) Nothing fancy, just a roof and a wall against prevailing weather as some people are too inconsiderate to get away from others. Wake up people, if we don't police ourselves others will do it for us!

Fast check-in and check-out. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast (included) in clean breakfast room. There is plenty of parking near the hotel. Spacious and open pool. Excellent price/quality ratio.

Military Park is located about 10 minutes drive away.

Hampton inn offered a comfortable stay with a warm, cute staff. Breakfast was tasty, and I appreciated that there were options for my special diet. The indoor pool is a nice touch. It's close to equipment like treadmills and elliptical machines. Everything was really clean, and they respond quickly to any requests.

Just a short trip to the battlefield site.

The food was outstanding, I loved the continental breakfast. My double room and all facilities were well-kept. All the staff was outstandingly accommodating, resolved my issues.

Excellent friendly service and superb rooms

Breakfast could have had a little more choice on the hot food but was ample.

Very clean, very professional staff, bathroom was well stocked with soap, shampoo, etc. Pretty comfy bed.

Room was pretty tight and cramped with a family of 6,fridge didn't get too cool and a lot of people outside yelling all night long.

Excellent spacious King size bed and room!!!!:-)

Only problem was I stayed at Handicap room because everything was sold out for my stay.

Comfortable Stay with Excellent Breakfast Options!

Our family enjoyed a fantastic 5-night stay. The two double beds provided ample space for everyone. We loved starting our mornings with a hearty breakfast full of tasty options! Remember to ask staff for local recommendations-they were helpful. Just bring your own toiletries as the selection is limited.

1st floor room opened on to the highway. Vehicle noise unpleasant and made it hard to fall asleep

The double room was spotlessly clean and had a non-slip tub. Breakfast featured an excellent egg station that really stood out. The hotel staff were friendly, providing really good service throughout our stay. There was a minor issue with noise from the hallway that disturbed our sleep at times. The internet connection was reliable, but it could be a little slow during peak hours. A solid experience overall.

Changed room that we reserved; person checking us in said they were using a "new system". Last year's room at this hotel was fabulous. This year we were given a room that was in sore need of remodeling and had an incredibly noisy heater that kept us up a good part of the night. The room was very clean but everything was worn out and it had that old motel room smell. It was not busy when we checked out. No one asked how we liked our stay
